veg and chicken in the same oven
I want to do a simple chicken thing for a few people. I thought i would buy chicken legs or thighs, put them in a roasting tray, and then put some chopped vegetables in a casserole dish (with lid either on or off, i dont know which is best); in the same oven if possible. Could anyone please advise a novice which *oven setting* might allow me to... more »

The antipasto platter
I took my wife out for dinner last night for her birthday. We tried the restaurant in one of the local golf courses. How long does flour last?
How long does flour last? Got two unopened sacks of Bob's Red Mill semolina flour, two years old probably. Looks good, feels good. What say you? Thanks, Andy

A Nice Change.
A Nice Change. I always liked watching Sara Moulton on foodTV and I'm channel surfing and she pops up on a PBS station "Sara's Weeknight Meals". Greek recipes on this episode. With a guest chef. Pretty similar to "Sara's Secrets" on Food TV but still somehow, refreshing on PBS! Andy

Jars for Picling
Anyone know where to get jars for pickling cucumbers? I want to make Kosher garlic pickles. I don't know if it is OK to use plastic and maybe that is something that none of us really know. So, maybe glass jars are the best. Any ideas? Alan

3 bean salad
Not a recipe, I mean I started out with 3 beans from my plants. Saved them up and today, I'm up to a 25 bean salad. Tomorrow I start over, with any luck more beans will start growing up faster. I certainly know what people mean when they say they missed some beans and they got too large ... those suckers... more »

caramel popcorn (easy)
I looked at many internet recipes and eliminated the ones that called for marshmallows. Some called for vanilla, others for peanuts...
