Compensation options?
| |
I've been mulling over whether to write this post, given the unfortunate tendency of threads to veer off course here of late. But I'm in a position where I really need intelligent advice, so I'm going to give it a go. Please, let's not turn this into yet another pointless, endless h*lm*t thread.... more »

Will the Global Plunge make people plunge into bikes?

| |
Gee, I just read the headlines today (I never bother to read the rest): "Global Plunge of Markets!" The upper crust of the capitalistic food chain must be real worried. When they are out of work, they won't be able to burn that much oil. But will that make them smart enough to switch the SUV for the bicycle, and the motorboat for the kayak? Or... more »

A tip of the hat to Jim McNamara

Quad Woes

I hope someone here can help with this problem. I'm a 55 y/old recreational squash player who took up cycling this spring. I ride about 200 kms / week. Lately I've found that if I don't ride 25 kms or more before my squash game my quads knot up, even if I stretch before I play. I can't even pull my foot up behind me stretch... more »

Bailing out banks ... and $20 for bicyclists

ON-TOPIC SECTION: A friend send me this link. [link] "Employers of people who bike to work stand to gain a $20 per month tax credit per cycling employee, according to the final version of the Wall Street bailout bill" OFF-TOPIC SECTION Although I am one of the Americans most likely to benefit from this... more »
