1.Placebo – “Pierrot The Clown”. I nearly threw up when I first heard
this. I’ve always loved Placebo but this song makes me feel so
miserable I just can’t listen to it anymore (the rest of their latest
album is crap anyway so I just don’t bother.)
2. Aqualung – “Strange & Beautiful”. This is about a chap who is in
love with somebody who doesn’t notice him. It’s not so much what it’s
about, I think it’s because it reminds me of a wrong decision I made.
Somebody I knew used to play it all the time.
3.Ozzy – “So Tired”. Don’t know why
4.Motorhead – “1916”
5.Judas Priest –“ Dreamer / Deceiver”. I love it but this sets me off
every time. The problem is it’s also one of my favourite JP songs on
my favourite album by them.
1. Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb
2. Ozzy - I just Want You
3. Within Temptation - Our Farewell
4. Lynyrd Skynyrd - Sweet Home Alabama
5. Phil Collins - I wish It Would Rain Down
6. Marillion - Blind Curve
All for various reasons, some over the same person, some just emotional
heavy weights!
Dream On and Separate Ways usually bring an 'oh, I've got something in
my eye' moment.
Also, I went out to get some shopping in not long after we brought our
daughter home from the hospital after she was born and Drops of
Jupiter by Train was playing in the shop. It just set me off then for
some reason (heightened emotions & no sleep probably), and it still
does.
Comfortably Numb does it for me everytime. Wish You Were Here has a similar but less profound effect. Rob
