Hi,
I yesterday shifted my blog (http://amisampath.blogspot.com) to my own
domain using blogger custom domain feature (Not FTP).
I followed the exact instructions on Godaddy, as per the help
document, and came to blogger for the rest of the changes. I opted to
"publish on own domain" and entered my domain (www.amisampath.com) and
hit "Save Changes". Unfortunately, the next page was an IE error page
(Page not found). I hit browser back, and saved the changes again.
This time it returned a message "Another blog is already hosted at
this address".
Then I tried to access the URL www.amisampath.com and now it shows an
error "The blog you were looking for was not found"
I am utterly confused!
Blogger Help center is extremely "closed for their customers" and
there's no method I could contact them directly. Really appreciate, if
some one could help me solving this.
You need to get access to an FTP client like Cute or WS_FTP and login
to your host server to look at your web files. Then you will need to
create a folder/subdirectory that is labeled blog and then go back
into blogger and finish the setup by going to the publish settings and
changing that you want to host on your own domain at like
blog.amisampath.com. Then new settings will pop up and you need to
know your ftp server address, the url you want, the ftp path and the
blog filename. If you are looking to repoint your www.amisampath.com address to your blogspot hosted blog, then you need to choose custom
domain in the publishing settings and follow the instructions.

The GoDaddy instructions are part of the challenge. Here's your
current DNS setup.
amisampath.com. 3600 IN A 68.178.232.100
www.amisampath.com. 3600 IN CNAME ghs.google.com.
Thank Chuck! Your article. I never knew, "another blog error" is a
such a common issue!!!!
Anyways, without trying to messing with it any further, I used the
"Magical Custom Domain Form". Now I will wait another 72 hours (They
promised 48 hours, but I know they don't keep promises) and try every
thing from start.
Meanwhile, I reverted the DNS setting on Godaddy as well. Would it be
a problem? Now, my DNS setting for www.amisampath.com is completely
"independent" from Google and Blogger.

Ami,
If DNS for "www.amisampath.com" doesn't point to Blogger, how will you
evaluate success of using the "Magical Custom Domain Form"?
